At close range

The weather was unusually warm today! Made me very happy :D So I played around with my camera abit, doing some exercises from this online Photography tutorial.
It also lead me to play around with picasa for abit. Amids all the frustration of a problem with importing, I'm really starting to fancy this program.

Tall boy accessories

We got a lovely tallboy from Ed's sister a few weeks ago. It's been used ever since for our drinks amongst other things. The drinks have been leaving water marks on the surface though and, I was worried about the moisture making the surface bubble. So during stuvac, I started on some coasters! And got around to finishing them earlier this week.
Unfortunately, I can't really sew in a decent straight line. But I am still quite happy with the way they turned out. I got the inspiration from a picture I saw whilst flipping through "Crafting Japanese".

mmm vacation~

After a week of searching, I finally found a dress for Grace's mum's 50th birthday dinner. All the little details made the dress so appealing to me, high collar, cinched in under the bust and frilly cap sleeves all in a pretty floaty fabric. The photos don't do it justice.

mmmmmm

Really glad he came to the dinner ♥ Made me all the more comfortable and hence have much more fun :D!

Finally on my one month break from Uni. And already, my coasters are almost finished! Maybe I shouldn't have started them during Stuvac.

Exam stress T_T

I ♥ this little espresso machine. It was only $89aud and makes pretty decent coffee. Of course it doesn't come with its own coffee grinder and may be a little slower than those $$$$ machines but I really don't think the end product falls short of those insipid brew made by pimply teenagers.

Not a bad coffee from a machine that didn't cost an arm and a leg!

Making coffee with this little machine has become somewhat of a routine lately. It really doesn't take long and requires minimum effort. Grind beans, fill with water, steam milk and wait. All in all around 3mins.

In preparation for my exam on Thursday, I woke up early Wednesday morning so I could sleep early. That plan faltered when I woke up at 2am and couldn't sleep again until 4am. So the 3 hours of sleep put my sleeping routine out of loop. I barely remember the past 2 days as they were spent sleeping! Luckily I had someone taking care of me.
Last night we watched "Shutter" and "p.s I love you" in that order. Both quite good movies. I had collected a small mound of damp tissues by the end of "p.s I love you" but it left me feeling happy :D

Ham wrapped omelette with rocket.

Bibimbap trial run~

Finally gave in to cravings for bibimbap!
Only wish I had stone bowls for the raw egg and crackly rice. D:
