End of Winter Vacation~

NOT the end of Winter for another month unfortunately.
I always dread going back to class after the Winter vacations. It's just long enough to get comfortable to but definitely short enough for me to return to class kicking and screaming. D:

This year's vacation was definitely eventful though! I moved in with Ed -and out of my parent's house- for the first time! And as I am writing this at my mum's house again, I feel strangely out of place and missing him a whole bunch ><;
Also, living with Wendy and Chris is lovely :D I always look forward to eating dinner and chatting with them. I tried cooking a few times D: But I think I'll leave that up to Wendy. I totally fail at cooking beyond the quantities required for more than 2 people. Unless it's dessert!
We went to watch the "Rocky Horror Show" about a week ago. It was Ed's first ever musical experience! His baptism of fire at the "Time warp" lol. He actually quite enjoyed it.
Friday night, we went to watch "The dark knight". It was sort of his special treat for going back to class. After parking, we headed straight for the Rilakkuma place! This time we were determined to win the Rilakkuma with mittens. I was really worried that he would not be there anymore but when we got to the machine... there he was! And he got it for me! I couldn't stop smiling the entire night. Most asian girls who passed us by just gawked at this huge adorable thing I clung onto with dear life. We also had my favourite nibbles at Fujiya. He always knows exactly what to do :D Also, we got free parking from Amy. That was a small plus hehe

The evening started with some rain :( and a rainbow! :D

Drinking mine and Ed's Chuhai

My absolute absolute favourite!! Nankotsu Karage~ (Fried chicken gristle)

hmm Dashi egg not so good at Fujiya. Atleast they made it look more interesting

My whole world :3

Fresh food markets~

I usually find waking up anytime before 10am extremely aversive D: (hence the bad Uni attendance record T_T) But lately I've been getting used to the routine because Ed has to take care of his little sister. So this Saturday, I took the opportunity - how sad to be referring waking up early as an opportunity - to take my mum to the Markets!
The largest sector was Fresh food of course! But there was also a flower market and a type of "garage sale" market, filled with random things, old and new. I didn't bring my camera, but my phone seemed to have done the colours some justice! :D

Finally finished the book "Twilight". The first few chapters were excruciating to read! Felt like I was reading some emo teenager's blog. But I kept reading just because the premise was based on Vampires. I started getting hooked when the romance began. I was almost fanatical. I can see how so many teenagers are going wild over this. But the book failed to retain my attention once the story moved on. I don't think I will be reading the rest of the books in the series.

Lavender shortbread

I've been craving these for awhile, ever since I saw them on a blog awhile back. We stole picked another bunch of lavender last night :D So I decided to give it a shot. Only made 4. They're so cute I don't really want to eat them. D: I tried the ugly one though and it was quite good. The lavender only provided a lovely fragrance to the cookie but not so much taste.
They're great with some earl grey.

Children, Lavender and an imminent end to a short break :(

Already slipped into the second half of my short 1 month vacation. Buzzed through these 3 weeks in a blur! I finally moved into Ed's house last week. The transition was easy as I practically lived here anyway. I miss home D: but I also love it here too! He makes it easy :) This afternoon I found some lavender flowers laid out on my desk. ♥
Can't stop worrying about my parents though :(
Also, his little half sister came to visit during her school break. We're taking care of her and omg she's so naughty and energetic. She's always testing our patience but she's also very cute. Just wish her personality would be occupied by more cute than aggravating characteristics. Suddenly, I have a new level of respect for my parents, or just parents in general.
Sigh
Mid year vacations are never long enough.
